The Temporary work visa is for applicants who have highly specialised skills, knowledge or experience which can’t be found in Australia. This visa can be granted for up to 6 months but a more than 3-month visa request will need to demonstrate a strong business case. 

Criteria’s: 

  1. Must have specialised skills, knowledge or experience that can’t be found in Australia and be critical to assist Australian business. 
  2. Requirements for Australian business will be temporary and not ongoing. 
  3. Employment is not in the Australian entertainment industry (For Australian entertainment activity, the applicant must consider applying for Temporary Activity visa (subclass 408) – Entertainment). 

What is the validity of the Subclass 400 visa?

Normally, a visa is only granted for 3 months unless a strong business case is provided for a visa up to 6 months.
